The Economic Tendency Indicator
The Economic Tendency Indicator shows the mood state of the Swedish economy. The indicator is an aggregate of the questions included in the confidence indicators for firms and households.
Business sector
The Business sector confidence indicator includes the questions contained in each sectors confidence indicator.
Manufacturing
The Manufacturing confidence indicator includes the following questions: Inflow of new orders, present situation assessment - Stocks of finished products, present situation assessment + Volume of production, expectations.
Construction
The construction confidence indicator includes the following questions: Order books, present situation assessment + Number of employees, expectations.
Trade
The trade confidence indicator includes the following questions: Selling volumes, outcome - Goods in stock, present situation assessment + Selling volumes, expectations.
Private service sector
The private service sector confidence indicator includes the following questions: The firms business situation, outcome + The demand for the firms services, outcome + The demand for the firms services, expectations.
Consumer confidence indicator
The household confidence indicator is calculated as an average of the four questions about the own and Swedish economy, as well as the question about making major purchases.
Consumer Macro index
Macro index is calculated as the average of the questions about the Swedish economy and the question about the change in the level of unemployment in twelve months.
Consumer Micro index
Micro index is calculated as the average of the questions about the own economy, the question about making major purchases and if you plan to do so in the next twelve months.
